Get ready to open the door to your creative spirit. But be warned this is a very addictive pattern. The new Gallant Goat /Serene Sheep pattern is going to blow you away. Loaded with options, a clear and well written tutorial, and lots of step by step instructions, you will quickly get caught up in your creation. Rena's attention to detail means everything goes together so well. If it seems to overwhelming sew up a simple one first, they are just as adorable as the more complicated ones. You will be pleasantly surprised with how deceptively simple it all is. And you will find yourself wanting to make an entire herd. The sky is truly the limit with this one!" "

"I am very much a beginner and was a little daunted when I opened the pattern. However the instructions were easy to follow and because there are pictures throughout I conquered the challenge. The result is a cute little goat."

  1. Millie Graham –

I have previously sewn 3 patterns created by Rena, and I was so excited to hear she had created a goat/sheep pattern. This pattern, like the others I made by her, is so well thought out and the instructions and pictures make it a very enjoyable experience to sew. Being self taught, sometimes patterns can be confusing to me, but Rena’s patterns are created so well and her instructions are easy to follow. I really enjoyed sewing this plushie… I hope to create my own herd someday.

  2. Trish McDaniel –

Love the Gallant Goat/ Serene Sheep Pudgy Plushie. It is so easy to follow and is so realistic. Rustic Horseshoe Patterns never disappoint. I can not wait to create more for my flock. Be sure and add this one to your collection. Definitely a must have.

The gallant goat/serene sheep pattern is full of “extra touches” that make the toys stand out, from the nose options, to the gusset in the tail and the cloven hooves. The pattern is professionally presented and easy to follow, and there are so many options to help you customize your project to make it unique. Rena’s patterns have enough creative options to keep more advanced sewers interested, yet in their basic forms are simple and clear enough that even beginners can make them and be pleased with the results.

Wow what another great pattern. There are so many different options to make a variety of different goats and sheep. All levels of sewers can do this pattern. The directions are very easy to follow and there are options to choose from to make it more simply or if you want to try something a bit more advanced, there are options for you as well. This pattern is for everyone. Highly recommend you take a go at it. You get a cute friend out of it. I have three so far.

  13. Rebecca Hagerty –

I love all of Rena’s patterns. And this one did not fail to please. Super simple, and so cute! Highly recommend!

  14. Jennifer –

As a farm girl that raises goats and sheep, this pattern is perfection! I love how you can personalize every goat and every sheep you make. With the new guides ,all the pictures and clearly worded instructions it’s a must have pattern.

  15. Amnesty Hadley –

You pay for a goat and a sheep, but in reality, you’re getting way more than two patterns! The variety of options could keep me busy making new unique animals for months to come!

  16. Lois Stanley –

The Gallant Goat/Serene Sheep pattern is loaded with options, enabling you to recreate any breed of sheep or goat you prefer! This is the first cloven hooved animal I have made of Rena’s patterns, and the technique is so painless! The way she has drafted the hoof templates makes it super easy. I have sewed quilts and clothes and plushies: this has got to be the easiest “V” seam I have ever encountered. Anyone willing to take their time and brave a new technique can achieve these adorable hooves! Don’t be afraid to try something new if you see it in a Rustic Horseshoe pattern; Rena Dearden is so good at explaining things you will be blown away by what you can accomplish!
