Make a simple or detailed collar for your Keen K-9! This will also work great on the Charismatic Cat or pretty much any of the animals in the Pudgy Plushies Collection.
Decide if you want to use ribbon, webbing or prepare your own collar fabric strap using cotton, etc. This tutorial doesn’t cover how to make the fabric strap, so if you’re making your own fabric strap, make that then resume this tutorial.
This covers two closure options: using hook and loop tape (such as Velcro) and using a clip buckle.
Add some personalization by adding a small D-ring and dog tag! Spikes are totally an option, too!

What you will need:
- ®~15-18 inch length of ribbon, webbing, fabric strap, etc. I used 3/8″, 5/8″ and 1″ widths…it just depends on the look you want.
- ~2″ length of hook & loop tape (I used 3/8″ wide ultra thin Velcro® for doll clothes) *for Velcro closure option only.
- 1 – 1/2″ slide release buckle for buckle closure option. I used these.
- 1 – Dog tag (purchased at a pet store, etc…I chose the smallest size available) *optional
- 8-10 Cone Spikes 7 x 10mm (for a spiked collar) I used these. *optional
- Thread
- 1 – 3/8″ or 1/2″ D-ring (for hanging a tag) *optional
